What is Article Marketing Robot

Article Marketing Robot is an article submission software in a pond of article submission software’s. There is no doubt that article marketing is one of the most popular ways for building links and generating traffic and so it is a very lucrative niche to get into by offering automated solutions for article submissions.

There are many players in this niche and the major ones are probably Magic Article Submitter, Magic Submitter, Article Demon & Article Marketing Robot (not in any specific order).

These tools exits in order to provide a solution to one of the biggest problems with article marketing which is: It simply takes too much time to manually submit article to hundreds or thousands of directories.

Article Marketing Robot Main Features

On top of the regular features you will see in any article submission tools Article Marketing Robot(AMR) has some important features that are worth mentioning:

Over 9000 Directories

At the time I was writing this review (31st January 2011) there were a total of 5432 directories and as far as I know, this number outranks all the competitors. UPDATE (August 2nd 2011) there are currently 9215 directories inside article marketing robot.

Add Your Own Directories

If 9000+ directories is not enough for you, than AMR will allow you to add your own directories.

Post To Your Own WordPress Blogs

Article Marketing Robot will also allow you to post to your own list of WordPress blogs. I am sure that this feature can come in very handy for those with their blog networks but as most users don’t have such networks, I doubt if this feature will be used by many. In any case, it is good to have.

Scheduler

This is a must have and a deal breaker in my book. If a tool doesn’t provide me with a scheduler and the ability to schedule the submissions as I see fit than it loses a lot of its effectiveness. This is even more important when it comes to Article Marketing Robot as you can literally build thousands of links in under 15 minutes or so and doing that over and over without being able to spread the submission over a period of time will probably have opposite results to the once you except.

The scheduler also allows you to be away from your computer or do other things while it works and build links for you in the background. Article Marketing Robot allows you to submit between 1-100 articles every 1-24 hours and also allows you to schedule the start of the submission process from NOW to 365 days away.

Built In Spinner

In order to make the most out of every article and every submission you will need to spin your articles or use already spanned articles. Article Marketing Robot has a built in spinner which has become a standard for these type of tools. I don’t really know how good the spinner inside Article Marketing Robot is as I only use The Best Spinner for all my article spinning purposes.

Reports

Another important feature that I want to mention. Article Marketing Robot has a feature called LiveLink reports which allows you to create various submission reports and export them in different formats. This is very handy and I am very pleased with the ease of use and the level of details you can get.

Article Marketing Robot First Impressions

To be completely honest, when I first started Article Marketing Robot I was a bit overwhelmed. The interface is not the best to say the least (in my opinion) and I really had no idea how to get started. With that said, it was super easy to learn and understand how to operate AMR thanks to the detailed list of instructions and step by step videos tutorials.

It didn’t take me very long to get the hang of it and it is actually very simple and easy to create an author account, create an article and submitting it after you know how do to it. Here are some of my first thoughts after using Article Marketing Robot:

Article Marketing Robot is FAST

Article Marketing Robot is FAST. Very fast in my opinion. The entire process from start to finish is fast. From creating the author account, confirming all the emails, creating your article and submitting it to all the directories, it can all be done in a matter of minutes.

Captcha Solving Service

The main problem with automated submissions tools is Captchas. Do you really want to stay in front of your computer entering Captchas during the entire submission process?

In my opinion is simply takes away for the entire automation and with such low prices for Captcha solving services, you really don’t have any excuse not to use one. I personally use both Decaptcher and Death by Captcha with Article Marketing Robot and I have no problems.

Too Many Directories

This might sound strange but Article Marketing Robot has too many directories built into it now. 9215 to be exact. The quality of most of this directories is pretty much crap but I am sure you already know that. I am not wasting my time submitting my articles to all 9000+ directories and I don’t recommend you do.

What I am doing right now is testing and filtering out directories using the Health column so that anything below 50,60,70,80 or 90 will be filtered out and I suggest you do that to so you can learn which is the magic number that will give you the best results in the least amount of time (not that time is a big issue here due to the fact that Article Marketing Robot is so fast and does the submission for you in the background).

Interface Could Look Better

As I mentioned before, when I first launched Article Marketing Robot I was really overwhelmed and a big reason for that is the not so friendly and not so good looking interface. Just want to make sure you understand that the fact the interface doesn’t look good doesn’t mean it is hard to understand and learn how to navigate through it. It is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it.

No Proxy Support

Private proxy support should really be a big priority for any automated mass submission service and I was very surprised to learn that Article Marketing Robot doesn’t support that.

But, after testing it and using for quite some time now and making some serious use with this tool it seems fine so far and it doesn’t look like my success rates are falling due to IP blocking. I I actually wrote to the creator of Article Marketing Robot about the issue of the lack of proxy support as that was kind of surprising to me and here is his reply:

Article directory sites don’t have IP banning capabilities – or it is very difficult. No one has ever reported getting banned by IP.

You always learn something new. I also didn’t find any complaints about the proxy issue and getting banned so far so I guess it is a none issue which surprised me quite a bit but as long as it works and works good, that is all that matters.

Results (January 2011)

Directory Signups

I filtered out all the directories with health under 80 which left 2186 directories. The sign up process took 19:49 minutes and right after that I already had 271 directories under OK status and 1291 under Email status (requiring email confirmation). What this means is that out of the 2186 directories I tried to sign up to, I managed to get into 1562. That is a 71.4% success rate.

Email Confirmation

Right after the signup process ended I checked my email account and I had 1150 new messages. This number will increase as not all the emails are sent right after signup.

Downloading the emails took 03:42 minutes and processing 250 emails took 01:51 minutes. It seems that AMR is limited to downloading only 250 emails at a time which means I had to repeat this process 5 times in order to get all the emails downloaded and confirmed.

The final results are that I have 1218 directories under OK status meaning I can submit my articles to out of a total of 2186 directories I initially started with. That’s a 55.7% success rate.

Article Submission

I can’t really say anything about the spinner that comes with AMR as I am using The Best Spinnerfor all my article spinning purposes. I also used one of my Ultra Spinnable Articles for this test submission so it really only took me 2 minutes to get the article ready and I spent most of the time writing the resource box.

The submission process to 1146 directories took 16:12 minutes and I managed to get 847 successful submission (74% success rate). You can view and/or download the simple report AMR has created for this specific submission and see the results for your self:

Captcha Usage Costs

If you want to know how much it would cost you in Captcha solving costs to run than I also checked that for you. My credit with decaptcher before the submission was $7.392 and after the submission it was $7.314. Simple math means that a submission to 847 sites costs $0.078. I can surly live with that as it frees me up to do what ever I want during the submissions.

Another check I run gave the following results:

• DeCapther Balance Before Submission: $3.882
• Total Submissions: 1853 Directories
• Successful Submissions: 1179 Directories
• DeCapther Balance After Submission: $3.658
• DeCapther Cost: $0.224

LiveLink Reports

Article Marketing Robot has a report generating feature which I want to check and turns out to be quite cool and easy to use. I want to generate a report that will show me all the live links I currently have (right after the submission ended).

The results are that Total Articles Found were 338 but I didn’t get the URLs of 75 of them as they were not published yet so the report contained 263 URLs. The first thing I wanted to do it to check if my links are actually showing in these URLs and the best and only way I know of checking this is with Scrapebox and here are the results:

Out of 263 my links were found on 246 URLs (pretty damn good). It wasn’t found only on 5 URLs and the rest got Error 404 / 403.

The next thing I wanted to check is how many of these URLs are already indexed. This is important to know due to the fact that your links will only count if they are actually indexed. In order to check this I also used Scrapebox and the here are the results:

I had plenty of errors as you can probably see due to the fact that only 171 URLs got results but you can also see that the index rate is not very high to say the least. BUT, remember that this is minutes after I finished the submission process so I am actually surprised that some URLs are already indexed.

I will keep following the submission results and keep you updated over the coming week or two as more articles will be approved and published.

LiveLink Reports Update (2 days after submission)

After 2 days I produced another report and this time I got 347 URLs and my links where found on 314 of them.

I also checked again to see how many of the URLs are already indexed with Google:

I check again for the URLs found 6 days after the submission was completed and this time total articles found is 448 and I got URLs for 384 of them. As you can see the numbers are still rising and more and more articles are being approved and submitted.

The down side is that not too many links are actually getting indexed yet but I hope that will start to increase and in either case, according to my case study, my rankings are on the rise so as long as that happens I won’t worry to much about indexing rates.

Article Marketing Robot Review – Conclusion

I must say that I was impressed with Article Marketing Robot and for that price it is probably the best article submitter out there. The only true competition it might have is from Article Demon but I know for a fact that Article Demon is much slower and more expensive and has less directories built into it.

What you are getting for a one time payment is a lot and when combining this tool with the power of the Ultra Spinnable Articles you can definitely create thousands of links every month and thanks to the build in scheduler you can spread your submission as you like. Smart one hour of work with the USAs and AMR can keep links coming to your sites and pages for weeks.
